Enhancing Dubai's sports landscape, His Highness Mansour bin Mohammed, during a meeting of the Dubai Sports Council, unveiled an ambitious strategic sports plan for 2024-2033. With the newly approved sports strategy, Dubai plans to empower the private sector by nearly 90%, including the industry hosting events and funding. The progressive move aims to augment its role in steering 450 annual sports events.
The strategy underscores Dubai's commitment to fostering a robust sports ecosystem that leverages the synergy of the public and private sectors. The goal is to empower the private sector, enabling it to organize the city's thriving sports events calendar. The 90% target underscores the trust in the sector's capacity to scale up and deliver world-class sporting experiences.
The strategic sports plan for 2024-2033 signals Dubai's intent to accelerate its growth as a global sports hub. By bolstering private sector participation, the city aims to create a sustainable sports ecosystem that not only stages world-class events but also cultivates a new generation of sporting talent.
